Colour plays a major part in visual communication.

As they work at the sensing level in Huxley’s formulae do not require an engaged mind to capture attention. Colour can draw a lot of meaning and different colours draw different connotations, such as red and the connotations of love, anger etc.

The level of saturation within an image can also depict the mood of the setting. A vibrant image is more likely to grab the attention of a viewer while a less saturated picture appears dull and is more likely to be ignored and fade into the background.

Within my image I plan on making my subject more saturated than the environment they will be placed into as to draw the viewers eye towards them then subsequently the background. I think the use of a blue tone over the background contrasted with a warmer tone over the subject will contrast the two environments and the emotions they give off.
